Sign Types

Signage is not one chunk of mixed items. There are several sign types that you should be familiar with before you plan what to buy.

Wall Frames

No doubt that this is the most common type of sign. It is mounted on any flat surface, not just walls, of course, and a partial list includes door signs, cubicle signs, room signs, etc.
Vista System uses the wall frame as the basic building block to the array of signs it manufactures. With its changeable inserts, the Vista wall frames saves a lot of money each time you need to update the signs.

Wall Brackets

The wall brackets are projecting signs used mainly in corridors and hallways to point out a special facility such as restroom, exit or stairways. The wall brackets are composed of two wall frames facing back to back using a special bracket that holds them together and attaches the sign to the wall.

Table Stands

The table stands, often called “nameplates” or simply “table signs” are portable signs that are placed on a flat horizontal position, usually a desk. A table stands sign can be a small one, presenting a person’s name or post, or bigger, with a promotional or instructional information. It is built from a wall frame that is held by special end-caps.

Directories

The directories are a category of wall frame with special dividers that separate the sign’s surface into several units; each one of them has its own graphics and could be changed independently. Directories are usually found in lobbies of office buildings, but there is a version of it in the form of a small wall frame that is divided to two sections.
